Dear Hats, Thank You

I like being a mom.

But can I have a life?

I mean I don't even know where my ipod is. I haven't seen it for three months.

I haven't finished a book in two months.

I am washing my hair twice a week.

Secrets:
I started throwing away my children's most annoying toys. Anything that my one-year old could fit entirely in her mouth, trashed. Toys with a million pieces, hidden.

4 sign your pity:

before mikah was born I started picking up all the "chokables" i have a little tote for them. SHoe box size. Then, i thought it would be cute to put those small things into canning jars on a shelf- a little collection display- but if the kids want to play with them when she is napping they could break, so I switched to plastic jars (peanut butter) and it looks cute on Jakes dresser to have the little collections. Now, if he would only put the toys back - i think if he leaves them out once I will put them away forever! I'm still finding chokesize rubber frogs in Mikah's mouth!

Ahhh.. the joys of parenthood! I remember those days. But in all honesty, Sarah, I think you are a wonderful mother and do so well. We all have our moments and are not perfect and wonder what the heck did I get myself into, but if we really stop and think of life without our little ones we all wouldn't have any other way. Doris and I would love to watch the kids when you need a "break" sometimes. Use us and take advantage of it. I think you would love it and Doris and I would love it. A win-win all around. Love you. Yes, yes, yes! Those are all things we do as mothers. I am lucky to have uninterrupted bathroom breaks, forget about showers and clean hair!! Oh, and hiding stuff keeps sanity and your kids don't really know.
